What we make of this bottle

What there is instead is a price toward the cheaper end of the reds we track: in our September 2026 checks across six stores, the lowest observed price was $11.99. 19 Crimes says its brand and website are owned by Treasury Wine Estates.
Pinot Noir is a red grape with thin skins; regional guides describe red cherry, berry and plum, and put it lighter in color and softer in tannin than Cabernet Sauvignon. The highest we recorded in those same September 2026 checks was $16.99.
19 Crimes names this bottling for Thomas Delaney, an Irish immigrant the producer says served in the British military and was active in Fenian politics before being sentenced to transportation to Western Australia; he was later conditionally released and emigrated to the United States in the 1880s. The producer's own product page describes the wine with notes of cherry, strawberry, vanilla and spiced oak, calling it fruit-forward with oak complexity and an extended finish, part of its classic collection. Region and alcohol percentage are not listed on the page.
Our call: a reasonable low-cost try if a lighter, fruit-forward style and a named label story are enough for you; the price sits toward the cheaper end of the reds we track, and 19 Crimes ties this bottle to a specific convict, Thomas Delaney, transported to Western Australia for his part in Fenian politics.
