What we make of this bottle
Bogle Vineyards tells the story of a family that began growing wine grapes in 1968 and released a first wine under its own name in 1978. That is the company's own history. It stands behind a wine priced from $10.99 to $14.99 across the ten stores we checked in September 2026. At its lowest, that price is among the least expensive reds we track.

By that page's account, the wine comes from 60-to-80-year-old head-trained vines in Lodi and Amador County, and the producer's fact sheet lists 14.5 percent alcohol, 14 months of time in oak in two-year-old American oak barrels, and tasting notes of 'forest berries, ripe currants, and raspberries' with 'cracked black pepper' and 'wild juniper.' The same fact sheet states the bottle is certified under California's Green Sustainable Winegrowing rules, gluten-free and vegan-friendly.
Our call: this suits a shopper who wants an old-vine, oak-aged Zinfandel with named vineyard sourcing in Lodi and Amador County, at one of the lowest prices among the reds we track. Pass if you buy on the rating crowd instead of the producer's word: the lone score on record is one shopper's read, not yet a pattern, so nothing here shows how a wider table would rate it.
