What we make of this bottle
Cocobon's own site names the blend behind this wine: Merlot, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. We do not have a shopper rating for this wine. In our September 2026 checks the store listing showed it priced from $7.99 to $12.99 across nine stores.
On the maker, Cocobon says its wines are made by Cocobon Cellars in Ripon, California, and its own site points to the supply-chain disclosure of its parent company, The Wine Group.
Cocobon's homepage, the only page on its site that carries product detail, describes the finished wine as “rich, silky” with “flavors of dark cherries and vanilla”, calling it “warm, sumptuous and approachable”. The producer also lists two competition results: a Gold medal and 93 points from the 2018 Monterey International Wine Challenge, and 92 points and a Best Buy call from the 2017 Ultimate Wine Challenge, run by Wine Enthusiast. The site does not publish an alcohol percentage or say whether the blend saw any oak.
Our call: a reasonable low-cost pick if that producer-named blend of Merlot, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, plus a Gold medal from the Monterey International Wine Challenge and a Best Buy call from Wine Enthusiast, is enough to go on. Pass if you want a shopper rating behind those competition results; none is in our record for this bottle, and the producer has not published an alcohol percentage or the wine's aging.
