What we make of this bottle
The word to sort out first on this label is Raeburn itself. Raeburn says Derek Benham created the winery in the Russian River Valley in 2014, and in our September 2026 checks the bottle ranged from $21.99 to $29.99; where this particular fruit was grown is not something we can confirm.
Pinot Noir is a thin-skinned red grape, used for still red wine and, in many sparkling wines, as one of the main grapes. Regional category guides commonly tie it to red cherry, berry and plum and note that it runs lighter in color and lower in tannin than Cabernet Sauvignon, with site and ripeness able to carry it from bright and delicate to dark and full.
