Our take
What we make of this bottle
The name of this rosé carries a brand, a country and a region, but never a grape, and we have not confirmed which grape or grapes go into it. The region deserves the closer look. Languedoc is wine country spread across the south of France, and on its own the word can mean either that broad region or AOP Languedoc, one protected appellation inside the larger whole. Mediterranean influence runs through most of it, though temperatures, wind and rain shift with distance from the sea and on the higher ground inland. One thing the brand does say is who makes the wine: Fleurs de Prairie names Les Grands Chais de France as the producer and Florence Delabre as the winemaker. We do not have a shopper rating for this wine. Across five stores in our August 2026 checks, the lowest price we saw was $16.99.
What stood out in those August 2026 checks was how much the store mattered: the same 750 ml bottle wore a different price depending on where we looked. If the tag in front of you sits close to the $16.99 we saw in August 2026, you are at the low end of what our checks found. The most any store asked for this wine in those same August 2026 checks was $28.99.

Research status
What we are still checking
Our overview above draws on the dated store feed, shopper ratings, our region and grape research, and any sourced producer facts. We are still working to confirm the current release, the full producer record, and the bottle itself, and we update this page as we learn more.
Getting to know Languedoc.
A Languedoc reference can point to the broad region or the regional AOP. The full label is needed before a page can claim the rules or smaller place of one designation.
What the name means
Languedoc is a broad southern French wine region. AOP Languedoc is one protected regional appellation within it, alongside subregional AOP and IGP names.
How grapes grow here
Mediterranean influence is widespread, but distance from the sea and the higher inland country change temperatures, wind and rainfall across the region.
What lies under the vines
Limestone, schist and river gravel occur across AOP Languedoc, with further local soil changes in its subregions. The broad name does not establish one soil.
How large the region is
- AOP Languedoc vineyard area
- The regional authority reports 7,900 hectares in the appellation.
- Producer base
- The authority lists 391 independent wineries and 63 cooperatives for AOP Languedoc.
Places within the region
- Regional AOP
- AOP Languedoc extends from Nîmes toward the Spanish border and provides the broadest protected appellation layer.
- More specific origins
- Subregional appellations and named vineyard sites sit below the regional AOP in the authority's three-level structure.
