What we make of this bottle
The name leans on the word ICON, but the plainer fact behind this bottle is a family one: Gallo says its winery in Modesto, California is still owned by the Gallo family, with three generations working in it today. In our September 2026 checks the price sat between $9.99 and $18.99.
Our grape research describes Moscato not as a single grape but a family of aromatic white grapes, and the Asti consortium describes the Moscato Bianco type by its aromas of flower, peach, apricot and citrus blossom. That research notes many familiar versions keep noticeable sweetness and lower alcohol, though only the label would confirm this bottle's sweetness, alcohol or any bubbles; here the word Sweet in the name points to a sweeter style. We do not have a shopper rating for this wine. Gallo dates the winery's founding to 1933.
Gallo's current site lists three Moscato bottlings, Moscato, Pink Moscato and Red Moscato, and a separate line of fruit-flavored Sweets wines that includes a Sweet Peach; neither list carries an ICON tier or a wine actually named Peach Moscato, so we cannot say with certainty which of the two this bottle is closest to. Gallo says brothers Ernest and Julio Gallo started the winery in Modesto, California in 1933, and it is still family owned today, with three generations of the family working in the business.
