This one comes from Joel Gott Wines, which says the company was established in 1996, a date for the business and not for this particular white. As for the asking price, in our September 2026 checks the lowest observed price was $13.99 and the highest $20.99 across eight stores, which puts the low end among the lower-priced whites we track.

The origin is given only as California, and the place is spelled out no further than that. Joel Gott's press page notes that earlier vintages of this same Sauvignon Blanc drew real outside notice: the 2021 bottling was named to Wine Spectator's Top 10 Wine Values list for 2022, and the 2019 vintage scored 92 points as one of the magazine's Top 100 wines of that year. The current 2023 vintage, per the producer's technical sheet, is a 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc drawn from seven California growing regions, Napa, Sonoma, Lake County, Mendocino, Lodi, Monterey and Santa Barbara, finished at 13.9 percent alcohol with 2 grams per litre of residual sugar, made entirely in stainless steel with an extended, cool fermentation meant to hold onto natural acidity. Wine Spectator scored this 2023 release 91 points.
