Our take

What we make of this bottle

Acrobat is the brand, not the grape or origin.

Acrobat says its wines come from vineyards across western Oregon. So the source the maker names is western Oregon.

The grape is Pinot Noir, a red with fairly thin skins that also goes into many traditional-method sparkling wines. According to guides that sort wine by grape, it tends toward red cherry, berry and plum, sits lighter in color than Cabernet Sauvignon, and carries less of the drying tannin. We do not have a shopper rating for this bottle, so there is no score to lean on, and at the shelf your guide is the grape and where it comes from.

Those same guides say the choice of vineyard and the ripeness at harvest can take a Pinot Noir from bright and light to deep and full, so two Oregon bottlings can taste quite different, and in our September 2026 checks this one ranged from $16.99 to $23.99 across four stores.

Research status

What we are still checking

Our overview above draws on the dated store feed, shopper ratings, our region and grape research, and any sourced producer facts. We are still working to confirm the current release, the full producer record, and the bottle itself, and we update this page as we learn more.

Region guideOregon

A little background helps this bottle make sense.

Getting to know Oregon.

Oregon gives Pinot Noir a credible cool-climate frame, but statewide origin leaves the vineyard mix unresolved. That distinction is the page’s central honesty test.

The place

What the name means

A state origin spanning distinct AVAs and climates; it is not interchangeable with Willamette Valley.

Weather

How grapes grow here

Oregon ranges from cool western valleys to warmer southern and eastern sites. Vintage and source region can materially change Pinot Noir style.

Soil

What lies under the vines

Volcanic, marine sedimentary and alluvial soils occur across Oregon; none can be assigned to this bottle without sourcing evidence.

How large the region is

Pinot Noir context
The Oregon Wine Board reports Pinot Noir as 59% of planted acres statewide.

Places within the region

Willamette Valley
The state’s principal Pinot Noir center, but not a valid bottle claim unless the release identifies it.
Grape guidePinot Noir

The grape name gives context. It is not a review of this bottle.

Getting to know Pinot Noir.

Pinot Noir is a red grape with relatively thin skins. It is used for still red wine and as one of the main grapes in many traditional-method sparkling wines.

Category guide

What to expect in the glass

Regional category guides commonly describe red cherry, berry and plum, with lighter color and less tannin than Cabernet Sauvignon. Site and ripeness can shift it from bright and delicate to darker and fuller.
