What we make of this bottle
...which is the trouble when the record lists only Italy: the country stretches from Alpine foothills to islands off the Mediterranean, so the word by itself does not fix a grape, a climate, or one set of local rules. We can name the brand, Barone Fini, but we do not have a confirmed account of who makes it. What the record does settle is the grape.
