Cantina Zaccagnini reports it founded the winery in Bolognano, in Abruzzo, in 1978, and in our September 2026 checks the 750 ml bottle ranged from $17.99 to $28.99 across seven stores.

Official guides describe this grape as showing pear, apple, citrus and stone fruit, from dry to gently off-dry, and they note the Grigio name is often used for a lighter, crisper style while Gris can point to more body and texture. Cantina Zaccagnini's product page and tech sheet agree on how this Pinot Grigio is made: after gentle pressing, the juice ferments at a low temperature for about ten days, then ages entirely in stainless steel with no oak, giving what the producer describes as "a most pleasant fragrance of evident pear, pineapple and subtle touches of aromatic herbs" and a finish of "excellent sapidity and freshness", the producer's words, not ours. The two official sources disagree on one number: the live product page lists 12 percent alcohol while the downloadable tech sheet lists 12.5 percent, a gap the tech sheet itself attributes to vintage-to-vintage variation rather than an error in either document. The tech sheet also narrows the growing area to Chieti, within the broader Abruzzo region.

Our call: a fair pick if a clearly described, unoaked style, stainless steel only, low-temperature fermentation, appeals to you, and Cantina Zaccagnini names both the winemaking and the more precise Chieti growing area. Pass if you want one settled alcohol number: the producer's own two sources disagree on it by half a point, and this bottle has no shopper rating on our record yet.
