In our September 2026 checks this Coppola Pinot Noir sold for $16.99 to $22.99, and 33 shoppers have scored it, a count in the top fifth of the wines we follow. Behind the name is Francis Ford Coppola Winery, which says the Coppola family purchased its Geyserville, California estate, formerly Chateau Souverain, in 2006. That purchase is the winery's own account, though, not an origin for these grapes; where they grew is not stated.
Pinot Noir takes its character from where it grows. Category guides describe red cherry, berry and plum, and say site and ripeness can shift it from bright and delicate to darker and fuller, so one grape name covers a wide spread.
