Invivo was founded by two childhood friends, winemakers Rob Cameron and Tim Lightbourne, who describe their start plainly: "grapes, time and two maxed out credit cards." Each vintage, the producer says, Sarah Jessica Parker joins Cameron and Lightbourne to taste and blend the wine, aiming for a style built through late harvest picking, brief skin contact, and aging partly in French oak barrels of two different sizes along with non-barrel oak products, choices the producer says soften a grape usually known for sharper, brighter acidity. The bottle has real outside recognition behind it: Wine Spectator scored the 2023 and 2024 vintages 93 and 92 points, and the brand's own site reports the wine was named to Wine Spectator's 2025 list of the ten best-value wines in the world, the only New Zealand wine on that list; Wine Spectator's stated bar for that list is a score of 90 or better at $40 or less. The producer does not publish an alcohol percentage for this wine.

In our September 2026 checks its lowest listing came to $19.99, and the high we saw that same month, at another store, was $23.99. The average those shoppers give is 4 out of five.

Our call: a fair pick if the collaboration is the draw and you want it to be more than a name on the label; the producer describes Parker tasting and blending each vintage alongside the two founders. Pass if you buy on record rather than story; two ratings averaging four are a start, and the technical account stops at the winemaking outline.
