What we make of this bottle
The name includes Loire, but the producer's own product page and technical sheet place the wine in the Pays d'Oc IGP, on what the producer calls 'the hottest and driest soils of the Languedoc' in southern France, not the Loire the name suggests. The maker is named as well: Les Vignobles Foncalieu, per the importer Executive Beverage's product page, which also lists the brand in its national portfolio. No shopper rating is available in the store listing for this bottle.
The name gives the grape as Sauvignon Blanc. Our grape research, based on official guides, says its wines lean on clear aroma and crisp acidity and are usually bottled dry. For flavor, official regional guides point to citrus, green herbs, gooseberry and tropical fruit, with cooler vineyards tilting green and citrus and warmer ones tropical. France itself spans vineyards from Atlantic-cooled to Mediterranean-warm, so the country alone does not pin the style down. In our September 2026 checks, the lowest price we saw was $19.99.
The high we saw across the ten stores we checked that August was $24.88.
The tech sheet fills in the rest: 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc, harvested in September and fermented in stainless steel, at 12 percent alcohol with 0.25 percent residual sugar, which in plain terms is a dry wine. Its own tasting notes call the wine 'bright citrus and fresh, green herbs on the nose, lemon zest and a hint of melon on the palate.' Just Wine Points scored it 96, and Tastings.com gave it a Bronze Medal with a Recommended rating.
Our call: a fair choice if a warm-climate, stainless-steel Sauvignon Blanc with two independent scores is what you are after; Just Wine Points and Tastings.com both recognized it, and the producer states the grape, method and dryness plainly. Pass if the Loire name on this listing matters to your choice; the producer's own materials place the wine in the Languedoc's Pays d'Oc IGP, not the Loire, and that gap between the name and the record is worth knowing before you buy.
