What we make of this bottle
The name carries the word organic, though nothing we have confirms a certification behind it, and "French" points only to the country. We do not have a shopper rating for this bottle.
France spreads across many different growing areas, so a label that says only French has named the country and not much more; without a narrower regional name, that is as close to the origin as it gets. The grape is Sauvignon Blanc. Official regional guides describe citrus, green herbs, gooseberry and tropical fruit across the category, and note that cooler vineyards lean toward the green and citrus side while warmer or riper fruit can lean more tropical; that is the grape in general, not a promise about this wine. Avaline, the brand, puts its founding at 2018 and says it launched its first wines in July 2020.
In our September 2026 checks it ranged from $17.99 to $27.99.
Avaline's own product page for this bottle lists an ABV of 12 percent and describes the wine as "crisp and fresh, with notes of citrus and florals," the producer's words. The organic claim there is specific: the grapes are organically farmed in Europe, grown without synthetic herbicides or pesticides. Avaline credits this bottle's production to EthicDrinks, a company founded by Mickael Alborghetti, while a separate page on the same site names Ashley Herzberg as Avaline's winemaker without explaining how the two roles fit together, a loose end the brand's own pages leave open. Avaline also points to outside recognition, saying French authorities named its packaging the most sustainable in wine for 2021, and the brand highlights its partnerships with WWF France and Surfrider on ocean conservation.
Our call: reach for it if Avaline's producer page tells you what you need; organically farmed grapes, a stated 12 percent alcohol, and outside recognition for its packaging are real specifics for a wine at this shelf. Pass if you buy on a defined place or a shopper record; the label names only France, a country and not a region, and no rating has reached our record yet.
