Côtes du Rhône names a place, not a grape. Our region research puts the Rhône among France's broad wine regions, running from northern hillsides down into a much larger south, and notes that Côtes du Rhône is one of several protected names there, each with its own boundaries and rules. Cellier des Dauphins, the cooperative that makes Les Dauphins wines, says it has represented the southern Rhône Valley since 1967. In our September 2026 checks the low end was $12.99, toward the cheaper side of the reds we track.
