Maison Vidal-Fleury says it was founded in 1781 in France's Rhone Valley and calls itself the oldest wine house in the region.

Getting to know Rhône Valley.
The Rhône links northern hillside vineyards with a much larger southern landscape. A Rhône Valley reference gives regional context, but the exact appellation still matters for grapes, place and production rules.
How grapes grow here
Northern and southern parts of the valley do not share one climate. The south has stronger Mediterranean and Mistral influence, while the long river corridor and surrounding landforms create local differences throughout the region.
