Sauvignon Blanc is the grape. Official guides describe it as aromatic and crisp, with lively acidity, and usually made dry, though sweetness and any oak are up to the winemaker. They also note a pattern worth knowing: cooler vineyards tend toward green and citrus notes, while warmer, riper fruit leans tropical.

The same Corks + Cheers page names Johnson Scutt as the winemaker across the Manina range: a New Zealander who trained in wine science, worked in Australia, then spent years making wine on both sides of the equator before settling into a sourcing role for the Southern Hemisphere. For this Sauvignon Blanc, the site's own taste profile points to grapefruit, mango and pineapple, describes a light-styled wine, and pairs it with fish tacos or grilled shrimp. One inconsistency worth naming: the site spells the brand "Manina" everywhere except a single description sentence that renders it "Maniña," with a tilde over the n; the two spellings do not match, and the site does not explain why.
The Chilean origin here comes from the Corks + Cheers listing rather than our own confirmation. In an August 2026 check, that lineup showed Manina's Sauvignon Blanc next to a Cabernet Sauvignon.
