The wine itself, which sat between $12.99 and $18.99 across seven stores in our August 2026 checks, is a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, and about the country there is plenty to say.

New Zealand's vineyards cover a stretch of roughly 1,600 kilometres, and the two ends differ: guides to the country's wine put the warmer regions in the north and the cooler ones in the south.
