This Cabernet's shelf price ranged from $56.99 to $61.99 in our September 2026 checks. St. Supery is the producer, and the story it tells about its wines is chiefly a farming story.

The company says every wine it makes is 100% estate grown and certified Napa Green, produced at its own winery in Rutherford. For the 2019 vintage, the producer's own product page narrows that further: it names Dollarhide Estate Vineyard, in the northeastern Napa Valley hills, as this Cabernet's source, though we cannot confirm the current shelf vintage matches that page.

As for the grape, our grape research treats Cabernet Sauvignon as a red variety planted across many parts of the wine world, one that often makes firm, sturdy wines and does regular duty in red blends. The guides for the regions that grow it put cherry, plum and black currant at the center of its fruit, along with noticeable tannin and possible spice from oak. Those guides add that ripeness, climate and winemaking can shape whether a given bottle lands lean and herbal in style or broad and fruit-led.

St. Supery's page for that 2019 vintage fills in the vineyard detail: Dollarhide spans more than 1,500 acres with about 500 planted, at elevations from 600 to 1,100 feet, and the winery counts seven soil series and thirteen soil variations across the property, with the oldest vines there past 30 years. The producer's tasting notes describe "dark blackberry aromas combined with an elegant toasted oak nuance," with boysenberry, jam and graphite notes, and a palate the winery calls "supple yet generous." That 2019 vintage collected real critical attention too: 95 points from Tasting Panel, 94 from Wine Enthusiast as an Editor's Choice, 92 from James Suckling and 90 from Jeb Dunnuck.

Our call: an easy case for a shopper who buys on estate detail and critic scores; St. Supery names Dollarhide Estate Vineyard for its 2019 vintage, and that release drew 90-plus scores from four separate critics. Pass if you need those numbers pinned to the exact bottle on shelf today; the page we found covers the 2019 release, we cannot confirm today's vintage matches it, and no shopper rating exists to weigh in alongside the critics.
