Our call: buy it if 100 percent varietal Sauvignon Blanc with a stated North Coast appellation and a plainly listed 13 percent alcohol is the kind of detail that helps you choose; the producer names both the grape and the place without hedging. Pass if you want a shopper rating to lean on too: none has reached our record for this bottle, so the producer's own account is what you're buying on.
