What we make of this bottle
The easiest number to read first: 3 ratings put it at 4.67 on the listing's five-point scale. Not a wide showing, but a warm one. In our September 2026 checks only three store had a price posted for it.
What the name spells out plainly is the grape, and Malbec repays a second look. It started as a French red before Argentina took it up and made it the country's most planted variety, and the grape research says it tends to give deeply colored wine with a firm but easygoing structure. Argentina's wine regulator names plum, blackberry, cherry and violet among common references, carried on a full body with clear acidity, and it notes that altitude, climate and cellar choices can make it fresher, firmer or riper.
