Our take
What we make of this bottle
There is not much of a shopper verdict to lean on here yet: the number of shopper ratings so far is 1, and it stands at 5 out of five, which is early days for a verdict. This is a Cabernet Sauvignon sold under the Benziger Family name, and, with the lowest observed price at $13.99 in our September 2026 checks and a high of $16.99 across three stores, it lands toward the cheaper end of the reds we track.
The grape is better documented than this bottling. The grape guides note that Cabernet Sauvignon often makes firmly built wines and shows up frequently in red blends, and they point to black currant, cherry and plum as common fruit references, with noticeable tannin and possible spice where oak is used. A confirmed account from the producer is not something we have for this bottle yet, so those grape guides are the steadier read, and they stress that ripeness, climate and winemaking can pull the same grape toward the herbal and lean or toward the broad and fruit-forward.

What we are still checking
Our overview above draws on the dated store feed, shopper ratings, our region and grape research, and any sourced producer facts. We are still working to confirm the current release, the full producer record, and the bottle itself, and we update this page as we learn more.
Getting to know Cabernet Sauvignon.
Cabernet Sauvignon is a red grape grown in many wine regions. It often makes firmly built wines and is also a common part of red blends.
Category guide
What to expect in the glass
Regional authorities describe black currant, cherry and plum as common fruit references, with noticeable tannin and possible spice from oak. Ripeness, climate and winemaking can move the wine from lean and herbal to broad and fruit-led.
