What we make of this bottle
The Rhone Valley follows its river a long way, from hillside vineyards in the north down to a broader south with stronger Mediterranean and Mistral influence. Our record places this rose in the Rhone but stops short of the exact appellation, and here the appellation is what decides which grapes go in and which rules apply. The wine is Belleruche, made by the house of M. Chapoutier.
No shopper rating has been left for this rose. In our September 2026 checks the rose was priced between $15.99 and $21.99. As its US importer tells it, M. Chapoutier dates the house to 1808 and is one of the oldest wine houses in the Rhone Valley.

Belleruche is made by M. Chapoutier, which says the company was founded in 1808, making it one of the oldest wine houses in the Rhone Valley.
