Provence stretches along the southeast of France, a place of dry Mediterranean summers where the Mistral sweeps through and cools the vineyards it reaches. Chateau Minuty traces the estate to Gabriel Farnet, who revived it on the Saint-Tropez peninsula there in the 1930s.
A Provence name usually points to one of several separate appellations rather than a single style, since the coast, the inland hills and the higher sites each behave differently. What the name and the origin do not fix is the grape or grapes inside, so it is safest to take this as a rose from Provence and leave the rest open.
